Southern Metropolitan Daily News (Reporter: Wang Weiguo, Intern Reporter: Wang Bei, Correspondent: Nan Xuan) Yesterday morning, Guangzhou Nansha DevelopmentZone held the Eighth Plenary Session of the Zone Commission, drawing the document ¡°Implemental Suggestions on Striving to Be the Vanguard of the Model Zone¡± (Hereinafter referred to as ¡°Implemental Suggestions¡±) Guangzhou will construct a industry development pattern of ¡°One Belt and Six Zones¡±. The orientation of Nansha was to build a Harbor Industry Zone: with the harbor industry as its center to develop advanced manufacturing industry, high-tech industry and port logistics.
Planning to build a Photoelectric Information Industry Park
¡°Implemental Suggestions¡± pointed out that, as for improving modern service industry, Nansha would attract the leading enterprises of Foreign Service Outsourcing and Joint Venture and Cooperation Vendor to make investment, carry on the transfer of service outsourcing industry of Hong Kong and Macao and make every effort to build a international service outsourcing base. It aimed to construct an influential model zone of Service Outsourcing in Nansha in 2010, and employees engaged in service outsourcing would be more than 3000 and service outsourcing enterprises introduced and cultivated would reach 20.
¡°Implemental Suggestions¡± pointed out that, Nnasha would make every effort to build the ¡°Optical Valley¡± in South Guangzhou and make the high-tech industry large and powerful. It would put emphasis on photoelectric information industry, automobile and ship electronics, nuclear power technology, biological medicine, information service and research and design of software outsourcing and technological tackling and development of modern logistics.
In addition, Nnasha would also construct internationally advanced metro-optical network, wireless urban network and broadband internet and use broadband wireless access technology to create a ¡°Wireless Nansha¡± and perfect the wide-coverage and multi-service infrastructure facilities of leading comprehensive information.
Accelerating the Project of Refining-Chemical Integration
The meeting of yesterday pointed out that Nansha would accelerate the project construction of Refining-Chemical Integration with the world¡¯s advanced level of environment protection, increase the scale benefit of petrochemical industry and push forward the exploration and development of new energy.
In the course of introducing projects and developing industries, Nansha would carry out the evaluating system of the effect on environment and the controlling system of the total amount of pollution, forbid projects with heavy pollution and high energy consumption, and strictly control the projects of general processing. All the enterprises and projects entered into Nansha should pass the strict environment-protection evaluation and inspection and reach the national or even international environment-protection standards and requirements.
¡°Implemental Suggestions¡± stated that Nansha would accelerate the development of tourist service industry and make every effort to build the South and East Tourism Belts. The South Belt would expand Wetland Park to make it connect with Water Village Landscape, the Sunflowers Garden and the street of special food there, the East Tourism Belt would connect the Water Park, Dajiaoshan Emplacement, Tianhou Palace, Upper and Lower Hengdang Island, the Berth Place of Boat Gothenburg and the Yacht Club to build special tourist routes like Coastal Ecology, Folk-custom of Water Village and Patriotic Education.
