The project of Nansha Dajiao Mount Strand Park expropriate an area of 790,318 square meters land and the land area amounts to 606,356 square meters. According to the design of the Park, there will be with 91 kinds of trees (7351), 20 kinds of shrubs (21,503), 14 kinds of ground covers (250,686 square meters), and 10 kinds of mangrove plants (11,710 square meters). The construction of the Park highlighted the characteristics of Guangzhou as a coastal city. The design concept corresponds with two clues. The first clue is natural rhyme. The Park stands as a neighbor of Dajiao Mount, Pearl River, and South China Sea. With a wide expanse of green waters, the natural charm of the harmony between the land and the sea shows a pray, hug and return to the nature and the sea. The second clue is cultural appeal, which indicates that people in modern society are attracted by the historical and cultural charm of Guangzhou. It is a kind of recall, sublimation and solidification of “Guangzhou spirit”.

  The Park space is composed of, in terms of the special layout, two rounds, one vertical axis, and one horizontal axis. The dynamic layout and the geometric lines indicate a modern sense, while the uneven terrain and varied body of water form a luxuriant flat space of the Park. Functionally, the Park is divided into four major scenic spots. Of these four scenic spots, the Cultural Park scenic spot takes the Oceanic Cultural Square as its center, and the vertical axis and horizontal axis penetrate through the whole park as representatives the old and new sea silk road. In terms of design, the Starfish Sand scenic spot uses a huge circular as the main element of the flat picture composition, and thus, forms a stylish and romantic new world of the city. The Strand scenic spot takes sea-watching, tide-viewing, sunshine-enjoying, swimming, water sports and entertainment, and sea tourism as the constructing theme. The Coastal Wetland scenic spot mainly aims to show the waterfront wetland langdscape with plants such as mangroves and the aquatic plants (Metasequoia, Bald Cypress, Taxodium ascendens, etc).  This scenic spot is composed of Flowers Island, Qiandao Lake, and Qicaishui Forest.
